Introducing:
Champlain College seniors Nina Isabell and Reilly Roth are turning sweet dreams into reality with a creative new business that promises to fund student ambitions in an unforgettable way—through cotton candy.
Introducing a Cotton Candy Vending Machine, a first-of-its-kind concept for Vermont. Imagine a sleek, modern kiosk with a clear glass window, where you can watch the magic unfold. Using a touchscreen menu, customers can choose from a variety of whimsical cotton candy shapes—flowers, stars, and even adorable animal faces. Once you've made your selection, watch in awe as the robotic arm gracefully spins your cotton candy masterpiece. It’s an experience that's as fun to watch as it is to taste.
But it’s more than just a novelty. Nina and Reilly’s goal is to create a sustainable business model that will help fund student projects and dreams at Champlain College, ensuring the next generation of innovators has the support they need to succeed.
Meet the Founders:
Nina Isabell is a senior majoring in finance, with a minor in accounting. A local vermonter and seasoned traveler who has visited over 12 countries, Nina’s entrepreneurial spirit and passion for innovation drive her to seek creative solutions in both her studies and future career. She aims to focus on investment strategies, including derivatives trading and financial modeling.
Reilly Roth, also a local Vermonter, is a senior majoring in finance with a minor in business analytics. A champion of hard work and perseverance, Reilly was the team captain of the winning team in last year’s CFA Vermont competition, securing the state championship for Champlain College. He also brings business experience from his past experience founding and operating a proprietary software firm, which showcases his dedication to building meaningful ventures.
A Shared Vision for Change:
Nina and Reilly are united by their passion for business and innovation. Together, they are committed to helping their peers bring their ideas to life by generating ongoing funding for student projects. Their cotton candy vending machine is just the beginning of their larger mission to support creativity and entrepreneurship at Champlain College. As well as their venture for change, they are competing this December in the finals of the Global Microsoft Excel Collegiate Challenge in Las Vegas on the Champlain College team. They will spend three days in excel training and competitions alongside other colleges nationwide.
Come See for Yourself:
Starting this December, you can visit Nina and Reilly’s Cotton Candy Vending Machine at Essex Cinemas. Bring the family, enjoy the show, and savor the freshest cotton candy in town.
